Cool tips to use your MSN Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, Skype and other IM accounts to reach more friends...

Skype:

Do you Skype? If so, open Skype and go to Tools>Options>Edit My Skype Profile. Then, in the “About Me” box, enter the following blurb with your unique AGLOCO™ ID:

Own the Internet! Join AGLOCO™ and reference ABCD-1234

That way, whenever someone sees you on Skype, they will also see your AGLOCO™ ID. You can also change you photo or avatar to a graphic with your AGLOCO™ ID!

Yep, you can do the same type of thing in Google Talk as well (or any other VoIP service, for that matter).


IM:

Do you IM? No matter what service you use, consider changing your photo or avatar to a graphic with your AGLOCO™ ID.

Also, most IM programs allow you to customize a tagline that users see when you are online or offline. Change it to the following blurb:

Own the Internet! Join AGLOCO™ and reference ABCD-1234

For Yahoo! Messenger, you can do this by going to Messenger>My Status>New Status Message.

For Windows Live Messenger, you can do this by going to Tools>Options>Type a Personal Message for Your Contacts to See

For AOL IM, you can do this by going to Setup>Idle Message or Setup>Away Message.
